About Wellbeing for All Children
Wellbeing for All Children was founded by Christine Ruth, Director, in 2018.
Christine has 23 years experience in public schools in New Jersey, with background as a special education teacher, school counselor, and school administrator. She is a doctoral student at the University of Southern California studying disparities in school discipline, which includes research on restorative practices, trauma, emotion, and equity. She is also the parent of two teenagers.
"I've always believed in the power of public schools to transform lives and offer opportunities for all children. Unfortunately, the demands on school leaders and teachers can make it difficult to ensure equitable outcomes for all. After spending many years attempting to change the system one person at a time, I created Wellbeing for All Children to help educators and parents create system-level change rooted in the need for connection and relationships in the classroom and throughout the school. I left my job as a principal to follow this mission, and I am excited to work with schools and families so that every child can learn, grow, and thrive."

We are committed to equitable opportunities and outcomes for all children, and believe that every child has the ability to thrive with the right support in school, at home, and in their communities. All children deserve to live a life characterized by wellbeing!
